We spent the first day at David’s Bridal in Raleigh, NC. We found 3 potential dress candidates. Patricia was amazingly helpful again. She is the same sales person that assisted me when I went shopping with Mike’s mom. After spending almost an entire day at this one dress shop these are the 3 dresses that were in the running.
However none of these are the dress!
That evening I ended up calling Diamond’s Bridal. This is a shop that had been so kind as to order a dress for me to try for one of thier trunk shows. I had found it on line and fallen in love withit, but I could not find a single shop in NC that carried the dress to try on. As luck would have it the dress was a week late and still not in. However, since my mom was only in town for a few more days we made an appointment to come in and try on some other dresses in the shop.
Anna at Diamond’s Bridal was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We must have tried on 7 or 8 dresses there. Here are some pics of a couple of them.
Anna had picked out a dress that was similar to the one that she order for me. However, she felt this dress would be more flattering on me than the one we were still waiting for. It was absolutely gorgeous! After trying on a few of the dresses again, we took some more pictures and went back to my house to mull it all over. My mom and I both agreed that this was the dress; especially since it was the one that almost brought tears to my mom’s eyes. (What can I say? She’s a crier!) We’re going to have to invest in Kleenex for the wedding day!
