p0ppy’s p0nderings…

The Circle has healing power. In the Circle, we are all equal. When in the Circle, no one is in front of you. No one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity. The Hoop of Life is also a circle. On this hoop there is a place for every species, every race, every tree and every plant. It is this completeness of Life that must be respected in order to bring about health on this planet.” ~ Dave Chief, Oglala Lakota

Have your cake and eat it too!

Ok, so what’s the point of cake if you can’t eat it. That would just be silly. So here I am in NC, in what I am discovering is one of the few hooping meccas! How did I get so lucky?

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to attend workshops and take classes from some of the best! I started with some workshops at the Shakori Hills festival a few years ago. One was with Spiral and then the following year with Jewels! Then I found some workshops that Baxter taught. Finally he started a Raleigh class! I have also taken several workshops from Caroleena over the past year and a half. Then, just after I changed jobs and move to Cary, NC, I learn that Caroleena has a class she is teaching only 5 minutes from the school where I teach!

In addition there is always the Hoop Convergence and the annual Hoop Path Retreat! So to the entire local community I say THANK YOU!
