Templeton - Daughter: obviously part siamese
Amy - Mother: siamese fancy rat
Before Fink passed away, the student’s in my class decided that we needed to get another pet Rattie to keep Fink company since we learned that ratties love to have company. As a part of our functional curriculum in the Autistic classroom, we turned this into a community based instruction opportunity! We used the phonebook and went to a local pet store. There’s nothing like getting a new pet and with in less than a month you realize you got a 10 for the price of 1 deal! Being classroom pets in the AU classroom at Dillard Drive Middle School this was a very “educational†experience! All the rattie babies were placed in loving homes.
Fink: hooded fancy rat
Stinky-finky-bo-binky-cheese-mouse
My first rattie! Fink was our first classroom pet in the AU classroom at Dillard Drive Middle School. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her! She was a wonderful companion. We would spend our early mornings checking email while she crawled around on my shoulders. She always loved to curl up at the nape of my neck and brux (kind of like purring for ratties).
Moque: Husky-Lab mix
A.k.a - Boo-dog, Muttly, Deflater-face
Moque was my pet in college. He was an amazing dog who loved to run. After graduation from college he went to spend a summer at a friend’s farm while I worked at an overnight summer program. He finally had room to run! When I had finished my summer obligation I did not have the heart to take him from such a wonderful life. In the burbs of Detroit, MI, I could have never offered anything close to life on the farm. Aaron and Kristy loved Moque very much and, I know, gave him his best years ever!
